What we collect
- Your chat messages with Snap. What you type, and the trade you pick on the page, so Snap can answer you. We do not keep a record of your chat once your visit ends.
- Demo booking details. If you ask Snap for a demo: your name, phone number, trade, a good time to call, and your email address and a short message if you give them.
- Emails you send us. Your email address and whatever you include.
- Technical information. Your IP address, used for a short time to limit how many messages can be sent to Snap and to stop misuse. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs for security.
We do not ask for, and you should not share, payment details or sensitive information (such as health details) in the chat.

About Snap
Snap is an AI assistant powered by Claude, made by Anthropic. Your messages are sent to Anthropic so that Claude can write a reply. Snap gives general information about Snapline only; it does not make decisions about you, and its answers are not offers or contract terms. It can make mistakes, so please check anything important with us.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, who handle your information only on our instructions:
- Lovable, which hosts our website and its database.
- Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI model behind Snap. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use information sent through its API to train its models, and keeps it only for a limited period under its own policies.
- Our email provider, for emails you send us.
We do not sell your information. We may share it if the law requires us to, or with our professional advisers.
Where your data is held
Our website and its database are hosted in the United States (US East). Anthropic, which powers Snap, also processes information in the United States. When your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the legal safeguards in our providers' data protection terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US Data Bridge where the provider is certified under it.
How long we keep it
- Chat messages: not stored by us after your visit.
- Demo booking details: 12 months from your request, then deleted, unless you become a customer, when our customer terms apply.
- Emails: up to 2 years, unless needed for longer for an ongoing matter.
- IP addresses for message limits: up to 24 hours.
Cookies
The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It may use cookies or similar storage that are strictly necessary for the site and Snap to work. If this changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it
- ask for it in a portable format, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, email jason.groves@snaplineapps.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
